The Art of Creative Confidence

Imagine having the confidence to play with complete freedom. 

What if you had an actual guidebook to creative freedom with formulas and snippets you can use over and over again, rebuilding and expanding your creative confidence every time you play?

That's what you get in "The Art of Creative Confidence". 

It starts with discovering the unique skills, talents and resources you already have and combining them with simple creative formulas that let YOU shine through the music, so you can play with freedom and joy – expressive and embodied -  enjoying the discovery of creative expression instead of struggling to find the right notes. Here's how it works:

9:30-10:00am Meet and Greet with DHC

10-11:30am EDT: SESSION 1: Play Your Way to 'Why'

In this fun combo of musical snippets and journal prompts you reconnect with your "why," your fundamental purpose for playing (all the while playing your harp!).

Next we'll discover your "Hidden Treasures" by taking inventory of the skills, tunes and experience you already have.

12-1:30pm EDT LUNCH BREAK

1:30-5pm SESSIONS 2 & 3: The Creative Toolkit

This is where we put it all together! In sessions 2 & 3 we'll leverage your treasures and your purpose using the Creative Toolkit of snippets, formulas, and patterns that let you transform what you already have into joyously expanded music – so that you can play confidently in any situation, regardless of your technical skill level – because you're playing what is authentically YOU - right now - exactly as you are.

At the end you'll walk away with your own Guidebook to Creative Confidence! You'll not only be playing in a way that leverages your unique creativity – you'll also have your own guidebook of materials from the workshop:

• Snippet library of intro, improv, and interlude patterns to expand, combine, or connect the music you're playing.

• Lead-Sheet Library of 6 useful, simplified melodies 

• Flash Cards for Freedom to help you create musical forms

• Excerpts from "The Soul Purpose Journal" with guided prompts to continue your journey to your own 'why'

• Hidden Treasure Inventory to identify and leverage your unique musical gifts.

With your Creative Toolkit and the experience you'll get in this workshop, you can confidently create an endless repertoire based on your authentic creative voice - and your skills - for the rest of your life - expanding your creative confidence every time you play.
